The Gables provided a delightful stay with an excellent location, enabling easy access to the Lake District. My single room was well-appointed, featuring a bathtub that enhanced my comfort after a long day of work. The cleanliness of the facilities was commendable, and I appreciated the off-street parking, which added to my sense of security. Breakfast offered a variety of options, and although the Cumbrian sausage could have been improved, the overall meal was satisfying.
Cumbrian sausage was underwhelming.

The stay included a spacious room equipped with a powerful shower and tasteful decor, ensuring comfort throughout. A notable highlight was the breakfast selection, offering both fresh produce and a warm menu that satisfied well. The central yet quiet location provided easy access to local shops and eateries. parking could be tricky during peak seasons, and the limited car park made securing a space potentially challenging.

The Gables had a fantastic location right next to the park. My room was cozy and equipped with thoughtful amenities like tea and coffee facilities. I enjoyed the breakfast, although the timing was a bit restrictive, running from 8 to 9 AM, which got crowded. The cleanliness of the space stood out, with daily replenishments of supplies. the bed was uncomfortable, and I struggled with the small shower, which limited movement. The lack of curtains made privacy an issue, especially with nearby scaffolding. Despite these few drawbacks, the overall vibe was pleasant and I appreciated the attentive service.

My room was lovely, nicely decorated with artistic touches. It had tea and coffee facilities, and they even provided fresh milk! The shower was a standout feature, really nice. The only downside was the bed—it felt a bit too firm for my taste, but that’s just a personal preference. All in all, a comfy stay, just a touch on the firm side.

Comfortable Room with Excellent Breakfast
I recently enjoyed a lovely stay in a Double Room with a comfy bed and great décor. The breakfast was not only delicious but also abundant, with lots of fresh produce available. The staff genuinely cared about our comfort and provided helpful local insights, which made my trip even better. I wish there had been a bit more personal interaction during check-in. it felt somewhat rushed.

Charming stay with lovely touches
We had a super cute room that was so bright and clean. The decor was really nice. The best part was the breakfast – such a delicious spread! Only thing was, the bed felt too firm for my taste. parking is kinda tight, typical for this area. Otherwise, everything was great!

Great place for hikers!
We had an awesome stay. Our twin room was super spacious and clean. The shower was fab! Every day we got freshly stocked tea supplies which was a nice touch after hiking all day. Breakfast was just perfect. The only thing was the stairs were a bit tricky with our bags, but everything else was spot on.
